Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

What is there to say about me? I am a disabled veteran with nothing but time on his hands. I spent years in the Army becoming a better man, husband, and father to only be given the "pink slip" based off of one poor decision. What does this mean for you? the reader? Nothing, but I am here to use my words to help understand what is happening in my toxic extended family.
I am the only child for my mother w/ two half sisters from my fathers first marriage. My father passed away when I was 9 years old in 1999 and my mother has remarried twice afterwards. My step-father was in my life from 1989 (fathers best friend) until they divorced in 2010 after ?? years of marriage. Now my mother is married to a new gentleman (giving him too much credit) and they are living their best lives and without us. This is what I want to write about. Toxic family members and what they do to the ones they love.
